First Camping Trip

We went camping for the first time in our pop-up camper this weekend. We went to Father Hennepin State Park on Mille Lacs. We had beautiful weather and gorgeous fall colors. I think we all had fun. Camping with a baby adds a special challenge, but we didn't have any major meltdowns or mishaps. The pop-up sure does make camping with the kids a lot easier!

We went for a couple of hikes and made an attempt at geocaching (why are we so bad it it?). Evan played baseball & rode his bike. Pat maintained & enjoyed the campfire. Jack & I went for a long walk when he wouldn't take a nap Saturday afternoon (Evan & Pat had a nice looooong nap). Evan & I went to "movie night" and the campfire ring where we watched a movie about eagles. After the movie Daddy & Evan made s'mores. Sunday we found dozens of crayfish legs on the beach. We did have to pack up rather quickly on Sunday due to impending rain & crabby kids, but we got the job done! All in all, a fun trip. When can we go again??
