We went our on second camping trip with the pop-up camper this weekend. It's also the last for the year. We camped at Mead Lake County Park which is about 13 miles south of Pat's hometown of Thorp, WI. We made the trip to attend the 50th wedding anniversary party for the parents of two of Pat's friends (brothers) from high school. The weekend started out well - we left at a reasonable time on Friday, had little traffic , and got camp set up before dark. It wasn't until after we ate supper that I realized...WE WERE OUT OF PROPANE! What a dummy. Live & learn. Fortunately we had a space heater that a friend lent us "just in case". It managed to maintain a balmy 50 degrees in the camper all night. That was quite a feat considering it was 23 degrees when we woke up!! We survived and the boys hardly noticed. We went into town & got propane immediately the next morning. The rest of the weekend was beautiful & much warmer. We had a really nice weekend.
